Safeguarding Statement
Last updated: 6 June 2026
Anxio cares about the wellbeing of the people who use it. This statement explains the limits of what we can do and where to find real help.
We are not an emergency service
Anxio is a self-care app. It is not monitored as an emergency or crisis service, and we cannot respond to individual emergencies. If you or someone else is at risk, please use the services below.
If you are in immediate danger, call 999. If you need urgent medical help but it is not life-threatening, contact NHS 111. If you need someone to talk to, Samaritans are available on 116 123.
AI safety limits
Our AI Wellbeing Companion is designed to recognise mentions of self-harm, suicide, abuse or danger and to respond by showing crisis support information rather than continuing the conversation. This automated detection is a safety feature, not a guarantee, and it is not a substitute for professional or emergency help.
Adults only
Anxio is for adults aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, please speak to a trusted adult or a service such as Childline on 0800 1111.
